Wiki WHAT???
I have enjoyed searching around the blogs, trying to get some ideas for kindergarten wikis. So far, I am at a loss for these young learners. I love Sharon and Kate's ideas about creating videos and posting. Perhaps I could have the students share their learned science knowledge (from the units of study such as 5 Senses, Life Cycle of Plants, etc.). I could record this information in a wiki and perhaps make a follow-up video. I really am at a loss here...any thoughts out there for 5 and 6 year olds????

I think kindergarten would be very difficult to establish a wiki or blog. I think you would have to do a whole group effort. I can't imagine 5-6 year olds working independently. Maybe with parent support???
ReplyDeleteSounds like a plan! It seems like it would be timing consuming to work in creating a wiki with kindergarten. You would be doing so much. Your idea of parent support sounds like a great solution. I wonder if you could pair up with a 5th grade class.
ReplyDeleteCheck out Brook Blinn's blog. She has a great link to using wiki in the classroom. Maybe there is something there that will help you.
